The Airstrait dries and straightens hair at the same time, combining two steps into one. It straightens with air rather than hot plates, and Dyson states no heat damage when used in Wet to Dry mode.

Straighten from wet

Wet mode works at 80°C, 100°C or 115°C to take hair from wet to a finished style with one machine. Intelligent Heat Control regulates airflow temperature 16 times per second.

Touch up dry hair

Dry mode uses directional airflow at 100°C or 115°C to smooth and align dry hair for a refreshed style. The optional Boost mode reaches 130°C for maximum styling impact.

What modes does it have?
Wet to Dry, Dry and an optional Boost mode.
What temperatures are available?
Wet mode: 80°C, 100°C and 115°C. Dry mode: 100°C and 115°C. Boost mode: 130°C.

Yes, it is described as suitable for all hair types.

Everyday use and ownership

What does the lock feature do?
Sliding the button locks and unlocks the arms. With the arms locked, you can gently pre-dry hair and create volume from the roots.
What happens if I stop using it briefly?
After three seconds of inactivity it pauses automatically. Move the machine to restart airflow.
What warranty does it have?
It comes with a 2 year warranty.
